Why Join WICT Southeast?
I have been a member of WICT Southeast for 5 years now and the entire journey has been rewarding. I was a very active volunteer who earned the title of Volunteer of the Year for our chapter and am currently an elected Director of Programming for Georgia this year. I encourage involvement from people (women and men) of all levels within the cable industry and supporting industries. Please visit our website www.wict.org/southeast for the full scope of WICT and learn about our awards.
If you are contemplating membership here are 5 reasons why you should go ahead and sign up:
WICT is one of the most valuable organizations that I have ever been a member of. There is a high return on such a low monetary investment.
You have access to women leaders at many well-know companies in the region who genuinely care about reaching across the table. WICT encourages networking and, beyond that, building long-lasting relationships.
- Variety in Volunteerism
Everyone needs to give back and to pay it forward. By attending the Taste of WICT (details below), potential members have an opportunity to discover what WICT Southeast has to offer. There are so many ways to become involved, whether you are an expert in an area or want to develop skills in an area. There are teams in technology, planning, and mentoring that need you.
- Professional Programs
Members gain access to a variety of programs such as workshops, panel discussions, webinars, conferences and book clubs. There are a lot of learning opportunities at WICT. You don’t have to attend ongoing meetings. You can decide what interests you best and participate there. Whatever you decide, you’ll be sure to enjoy them.
We have fun! We’re not a stuffy group. We take the time to unwind with each other, share thoughts and tips, and have fun in a professional development environment.
